The band '“ completed by singer and guitarist Andy Morris and drummer Laura Padfield '“ have been gigging for just over a year. They will be armed with several new songs for their performance at The Railway on London Road.

Laura said: 'We all write songs together and are looking forward to playing the new material live.'

Formed years after the band members first met at a party, the BlackFox sound has been likened to both Pink Floyd and David Bowie, with hints of the Pixies and Blur.

The band aim to mix the musical diversity of Muse and Pink Floyd with the punk ethos of the Clash.

Andy said: 'Our last bands split up at about the same time and we all decided we wanted to keep on playing and writing.

'The new songs came together quite easily, and we always look to do something original and challenging.'

Steven added: 'The Railway should be a good night, and it's great to have another venue in Bognor supporting new music.'

BlackFox's music can be heard on the www.myspace.com/

Support at The Railway comes from the Fareham-based band Half-Light. Entry is free and the entertainment starts at 8pm.
