Angmering church hosts flower festival

ST Margaret’s Church, Angmering is hosting a ‘spectacular’ display of 21 inspirational flower arrangements, led by international floral designer and demonstrator Sandy Evans and her team.

Each arrangement will interpret a scripture on the theme of ‘New Life’, with designs including bicycle wheels, a water feature and even a depiction of an eagle in flight.

Entrance is free except for the preview evening on Wednesday, from 6-9pm, for which tickets are £5, to include drinks and canapés. The tickets can be booked by calling the church office on 01903 784459 or email [email protected]

Church music director Malcolm Hawke and his ensemble will be playing during the evening.

There will also be a free informal music concert in the church next Friday at 7.30pm. Friends and members of St Margaret’s will entertain with a range of short musical items to appeal to all ages.

Refreshments and crafts will be available in the church hall during each day of the exhibition, which runs from Thursday to Saturday next week, from 10am-4.30pm daily.

Visitors will be able to watch crafts people working on their designs while they view the festival arrangements, too.
