Air quality and Almonry restoration on Battle council agenda

Battle Town Council will talk about the town centre’s air quality at the Almonry after a recent study in Newhaven.
Councillors will also hear an update on the local authority’s bid to refurbish the Almonry as an architect has drawn up plans for the renovation.

Hide AdMembers will discuss the plans and whether the council can afford to implement them, as well as how it would be funded.
The town council wants to give its office and meeting place a touch up as it believes the grade II* listing building is not being used to its potential.
The meeting room used to be a cafe and the building was also a private house at one stage.
Councillors will talk about the upcoming private Sussex police and crime commissioner hustings at The Emmanuel Centre on Monday, April 25.

Hide AdThe hustings is not open to the public but local authorities are invited to listen to the candidates and ask questions.
Reports from the various committees will be heard as well as updates from the district and county councillors at the meeting which starts at 7.30pm.
