90 and still going strong

WITH a combined experience stretching over several centuries Fairlight area residents in their 90’s took centre stage last week.

The Marsham Older People’s Project held a special surprise celebration at the village hall on Friday to honour its many members who are in their 90’s.

Founder member of MOPP Sylvia Gutsell said: “It was a fantastic event and everyone had a really good time.

“They enjoyed a hearty sing-a-long and a home-cooked meal as well as a raffle.

“The project is going so well at the moment but we would not be able to do things like this without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers.”

Today (Friday) members will be coming together to enjoy a free Christmas lunch.
