Jaguar-trained specialistextends open evening invite

The continued success of independent Jaguar specialist JAGtechnic shows little sign of slowing down after the company recorded another outstanding increase in new customer bookings.

Over the last 12 months the Jaguar trained Eastbourne based specialist increased its customer base by a staggering 96%, increasing the number of Jaguar’s maintained by the company to more than 630 vehicles, with a customer referral rate of 76%.

The largest growth came from Jaguar’s current model line-up, with the XF, XK & XJ accounting for nearly 64% of all new business.

JAGtechnic quickly established itself as one of a limited number of Jaguar Specialists in the country to employ the skills of factory trained Jaguar Technicians up to the level of Master Technician. This enables the company to complete the required repairs on vehicles covered by Jaguar’s Extended Warranty as an Approved Repairer.

Paul Chipp-Smith commented: “The experience required to meet these standards provides our customers with the reassurance that their vehicle is being repaired by a company having met the stringent standards set by Jaguar”.

The sporty XK8 & XKR models in particular have become one of JAGtechnic’s speciality markets, explains Paul Chipp-Smith: “We are especially known for our work on the later XK models from 1996 up to the current model range, we currently maintain in excess of 140 different examples from all over the place.

“One particular car was shipped in from New Zealand by an ex-pat for an extensive bodywork repairs and a major service, another example owned by a customer from Jeddah in the Middle East received a complete body and mechanical overhaul and the integration of modern age optional extras.

“As we go to press JAGtechnic are finalising the build of another XK8 project car. This example was originally being built as a show car for the company, however following a referral from an ex-Jaguar Heritage Trust staff member the car is now being built to the exact specification of the recently retired Jaguar Dealer Training Manager Peter Leake.

“We have known Peter for many years now so it was a great privilege to be commissioned to build him a car. Peter is known the world over by Jaguar employees so to have Peter owning and driving one of our cars just adds to the number of accolades that our company has achieved.”

JAGtechnic also operates a Classic & Heritage department, providing maintenance and restoration on many of the marques most iconic classic sports and saloon cars. And they must be good at what they do as customers include the Jaguar Heritage Trust and a number of Jaguar Enthusiasts Club Committee Members. Now celebrating the company’s 15th year of business, theywill be hosting a special Open Evening event on Monday, August 19, and have extended an invittation to all Jaguar owners.

The evening commences at 7.30pm and includes a professionally catered BBQ, including a vegetarian option, VIP guest Peter Leake will be on site to receive the keys to his freshly completed XK8 Convertible and will also providing a refreshing look of the history of the iconic E-type with one of his famous Audio Visual Presentations, and the East Sussex Jaguar Enthusiasts Club will be on site with a selection of club members cars.

Be warned though, if the company’s last open event is anything to go by, arrive early, as mpre than 120 Jaguar owners were in attendance.
