“More than 100 people with dementia, family, friends and teams from across Horsham united against dementia.”

There were two walks to choose from at the event, held on Friday September 21.

Participants had the choice of a memory walk of around one and a half miles and a nature memory walk which took around 45 minutes.

The event started with a warm up session and walkers were treated to live musical entertainment at the walk.

Horsham MP Jeremy Quin also visited the walkers to offer his encouragement.

Ryan added: “We’d like to thank everyone who took part in the walk, volunteered on the day and donated water and fruit, and the many local companies who helped on the day.

“As well as a huge thank you to Horsham Rusty Brains for organising the event.

Dementia devastates lives, but every pound raised through memory walk will help us provide vital information and support, improve care, fund research and create lasting change for people affected by the condition.”
