Hastings late night Christmas shopping - this is when Priory Meadow shopping centre will be open

Stores are opening late every evening during Christmas week. Participating stores will be opening their doors until 7pm every evening from Monday, December 19 to Friday, December 23.

Christmas Eve will see stores open until 5pm for any last-minute present dashes.

Andy Harvey, centre manager, said: “We want people to shop local and support our stores as much as possible, and this is another way to make it more convenient and accessible for the community. It’s also a great way to beat the queues, avoid the weekend rush and shop amongst some sparkle with our Christmas lights and 35ft tree setting a festive atmosphere.”

Primark, Waterstones, The Works, H&M and Boots are just a few of the stores shoppers can get last-minute gifts, the centre said.

Marks and Spencer will be opening until 9pm every evening during the same week, and PizzaExpress is also open until 10.30pm. Individual store times may vary.

Priory Meadow will be open on the following dates this month:

Monday, December 19: 9am to 7pm

Tuesday, December 20: 9am to 7pm

Wednesday, December 21: 9am to 7pm

Thursday, December 22: 9am to 7pm

Friday, December 23: 9am to 7pm

Christmas Eve: 9am to 5pm

Christmas Day: closed

Boxing Day: 10am to 4pm

Tuesday, December 27: 10am to 4pm

Wednesday, December 28: 9am to 5.30pm

Thursday, December 29: 9am to 5.30pm

Friday, December 30: 9am to 5.30pm

New Year’s Eve: 9am – 5pm
