And he completes his trio of acoustic outings by performing at Europe’s oldest, purpose-built concert venue – the 265-year-old Holywell Music Room, in Holywell Street, Oxford – on Friday, September 27, at 7.30pm.
Richard’s programme will include his much-loved Paraguayan portfolio (especially works by Agustin Barrios) plus new music uncovered by Durrant during his South American adventures.
“Expect to hear, too, pieces by Bach, compositions by Durrant himself and sounds of Spain, including a beautiful arrangement of Cordoba by Isaac Albeniz - the whole of Spanish history in four minutes.”
