Wilko has dismissed rumours that its shop in Burgess Hill is closing down.

A post appeared on Facebook last week asking whether the retail chain plans to leave the town, which caused concern among residents.

But a Wilko spokesperson told the Middy: “We have no plans to close our Burgess Hill store and remain committed to helping local customers get the household and garden products they need.”

In January 2022 Wilko announced that it planned to close 15 stores but said stores in Sussex would not be affected.
