A major village road has been closed due to flooding, according to traffic reports.
The A281 has been shut both ways between Shermanbury and Henfield, a spokesman for the AA said.
The closure is in place at The Bull Inn.
A commuter told the County Times her bus was delayed by 20 minutes due to the flooding.
She said it was diverted through Wineham following the incident.
