A Lewes bank temporarily closed to customers amid coronavirus fears.

Natwest in High Street, Lewes, shut its doors on Wednesday (March 18).

A sign confirming a ‘temporary closure’ was seen outside the premises and there were people cleaning inside.

A NatWest spokesman said today (March 19): “We can confirm our branch was closed yesterday as a precautionary measure, as a result of a colleague self-isolating.

“We are closely following the advice of Public Health England and we have reopened the branch today and are operating as usual.”
