Former Hampshire spinner Raj Maru has agreed to join the coaching team at Wisborough Green.
Raj, who has 527 first class wickets has also agreed to play some first team matches during this season.
He will also help develop the colts and senior players and add a wealth of experience to the Wisborough Green first team and club development plans.
James Sadler, head of senior cricket at Wisborough Green said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Raj to the team, this is a fantastic opportunity for all players to learn from one of the finest spinners in the country.
“He joins former Sussex player and Surrey county cricket club coach Alex Edwards to help develop all levels of cricket at the club.
“Over the last few years we have embarked on a development programme looking to improve all levels of cricket from the under-eights to the first team and Raj is now a vital part of these plans.
“Because of our commitment to deliver we now have 150 colts practicing on the Green on a Friday evening and have attracted several new senior players to our first and second X1 squad.
“We are certainly not the finished article, but offer excellent opportunities for cricketers of all ages to improve and enjoy their cricket.
Raj, who works as the director of cricket for Lancing College added: “I have always liked Wisborough Green, and look forward to helping develop cricket during the summer.”
