The UK Coaching Awards honour sports coaches and coaching organisations who have demonstrated outstanding success over the previous 12 months.

This year’s star-studded event will be held at the Holiday Inn at Wembley on Tuesday, November 29, and Jane Lomax will be in attendance after being nominated for the coach developer of the year.

Over the past 12 months Lomax has been such a value to netball coaches across the country, tutoring courses and creating inspirational learning environments, assessed level-two and level-three learners and has been an encouraging mentor along with writing and leading a mentoring training day.

Lomax also took part in Netball England’s annual coaching conference, while she was recently appointed as a tutor of the KS3 teacher workshop to be launched in November to support the delivery of great netball experiences in schools.

She is a lecturer at Chichester University on PE and sports coaching.

Previous winners at the UK Coaching Awards include Jessica Ennis-Hill’s mentor Toni Minichiello and Sir Alex.

Mark Gannon, CEO of Sports Coach UK said: “Year after year our expert judging panel struggle to narrow down hundreds of nominees to our finalists and this year has been no exception; arguably it’s been an even greater task because of the multitude of sporting success we’ve had.

“These awards are a fantastic way for us to shine a spotlight on and express our gratitude and appreciation to the coaches who support and inspire us through sport and activity to achieve our goals.”
