RDA group celebrates successful year

ARUNDEL Group Riding for the Disabled Association celebrated the end of the school year with gymkhana games, which were attended by group chairman, Terry Clothier, along with parents, grandparents, friends and teachers.

The event was in three sections- in line with the usual riding sessions- adults followed by two groups of children riding ponies which were kindly loaned by Alison Leggett of Arundel Riding School.

During the afternoon, the Lavinia Norfolk Memorial Trophy was presented to joint winners- Jade Pedskett from the Lavinia Norfolk Centre at Angmering School , and Orla Inge from Barnham Primary School. The presentation was made by joint commissioners of the Crawley and Horsham (South) Pony Club, Karen Halls and Ann Pring.

Rosettes to winners of the various gymkhana races were also presented and to winner of proficiency tests involving riding and horse care elements held throughout the year.
