Goodwood tickets on sale for 2012

THE starting gates are open for the Goodwood Racecourse 2012 season with all tickets now on sale for next year. The opening of the season will be on Saturday May 5, with a further four days racing in May that will include the return of the May Festival which runs from Friday May 24 to May 26 and includes more than £300,000 prizde money, and a collection of Listed races.

June will follow on from the exciting start to the season with the return of the highly acclaimed Three Friday Nights that were launched in 2011 and saw the paddock transformed from hoofs to heels as people flocked to the dance floor after racing to the sounds of three floor filling DJ’s (DJ’s to be announced in January 2012).

Glorious Goodwood will see many highlights in 2012 and commences with an opening ceremony - a celebration of the festivals living legends and the 200th running of the Goodwood Cup. It is run slightly later in the 2012 racing calendar, the opening Tuesday will fall on the July 31 and the closing Saturday on August 4.

August features a three day bank holiday festival on Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 to create three sublime days of racing and fun, so friends and family can enjoy ‘time well spent’.

The season draws to a close with two days of racing in September on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 26, with grand finale on Sunday October 14.

Despite rising UK inflation Goodwood Racecourse has managed to hold many of the package prices for 2012 and there is only a small increase on ticket prices.

2012 looks set to be a busy year at the Glorious Sussex track and Goodwood anticipate high volumes in tickets sales with the following fixtures potentially selling out:

Three Friday Nights - June 8, 15 and 22. Glorious Goodwood – Thursday August 2 (Ladies Day), Glorious Goodwood – Saturday August 4
