A DOUBLE Demonstration Day is being held at Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Centre, Huntinggrove Stud, Slinfold, near Horsham, on Sunday June 26 when everyone is welcome.
The event opens at 11am with a welcome to everyone and at 11.30am there will be a demonstration of Moorcroft horses being ridden, followed by refreshments.
A further demonstration follows at 1pm and a grand raffle will be drawn at 2.30pm, with the day closing at 3pm.
There will be various stands, including a second-hand tack sale, cake stall, Aloe Vera products for horse and human—great advice and samples, and Tai Chi for Riders.
Bridgefield Physiotherapy will give advice and Denghie horse feeds will discuss equine diets and offer free samples. Equine iridologist Ellen Collinson will be there.
Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Centre provides the very best of care and excellent facilities to retired racehorses awaiting a new home and a new life.
It was established in order to find new permanent homes for racehorses that were no longer suited to the job of racing.
These horses come from a variety of racing backgrounds and it is the charity’s function to find them suitable alternative homes based on their abilities and needs.
Horses are assessed in a calm and peaceful atmosphere, before going on to new and caring homes, and even new careers in dressage and eventing.
