Crawley Judo Club host top class coaches’ course

Crawley Judo Club hosted a prestigious coach education course led by two of the leaders in the field to a large group of coaches from all over the country.

This course is part of the National Coach Education Program and it covered five kata disciplines.

It is a must for coaches who wish to examine or coach in the British Judo Association’s clubs.

A total of 32 coaches on level 2 and 3, holding a rank from first dan to seventh dan attended the course.

World class kata examiners seventh dan Denis Penfold and fifth dan Tina Penfold were the course tutors.

Coaches from the Crawley club attended to maintain its high quality and level of coaching. It was organised by international referee Graham Stanley.

The club is always looking for new members. They train at Tilgate Forest Recreation Centre in Tilgate Forest on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6.30–8pm (juniors) and 8-9.30pm (seniors). For more information visit their website or you call head coach John Pluckrose on 01293-404716.
