Menaces move clear at the top

Premier Division: Denis’s Menaces move clear at the top by defeating second placed Hang Em High and third placed Bullets lose 9-1 to Ping Panthers.

A very close fought match saw the all junior team of D’s Menaces, Luke Gallagher, Charlie Hough and Ben Worley over come the experience senior Hang Em High team of Michael Bridger, Eric Smith and Paul Brinkhurst seven games to three.

A treble for Luke Gallagher, two for Charlie Hough and One for Ben Worley. Luke and Charlie showed how strong they are becoming by defeating the doubles pairing of Michael Bridger and Eric Smith 11-6. 11-8, 11-7.

The Ping Panthers team of Marc Burman, Les Hopkins and Guest player Dennis Hayden proved too strong for Bullets coming away 9-1 winners. Trebles for Les Hopkins and Marc Burman plus two from Dennis Hayden.

For Bullets David Champneys spared his team the whitewash by defeating Dennis Hayden 11-8 in the fifth..

Dynamos team of Matt Caddy, Richard Caddy and Richard Cosens move of the bottom by defeating Game Changers 7-3. Trebles for the Caddy Brothers plus one from Richard Cosens.

For Game Changers one win each for Mike Day and Angus Ogg with Mike and Angus taking the doubles.

Division One: Paddlers despite having a bye this week retain the top spot as second placed Wanderers went down 4-6 to Lindfield Thunderbolts.

Lindfield Thunderbolts defeated a two man team of Wanderers 6-4

For Thunderbolts two wins and a walkover for Jim Griffin, One win and a walkover for David Metcalfe and a walkover for Vincent L’Estrange.

For Wanderers two wins for Bob Watson and one win for Ray Parker with Ray and Bob winning the doubles. A very good 6-4 win for Tigers Vs Magiks.

Tigers David Lewis with the only treble of the night, two from Steve Lewis and Samantha Monk stepping in with one.

For Magiks one apiece for Alistair Blue, Tony Turk and Kevin Deacon with Alistair and Tony defeating Samantha and David in the doubles.

A five all draw was the result between Bashers and X Men with matches see sawing all the way to the final match the doubles.

For X men two for John Bridger and Peter Caddy plus one for Tony Pells.

For Bashers it was a treble again for Keigo Burnham plus one for Annabel Bridger. Annabel and Keigo combined for the all important doubles and defeated Peter Caddy and Tony Pells 11-8 in the fifth to draw the match.

Division Two: United Families still lead this division but boys United with a game in hand are only two points behind. United Families had close matches against Ashenground Aces but came away 7-3 winners.

Trebles for Peter Dunsby and Ben Anthony with Ben teaming up with Emily Dunsby to defeat Claudia Hough and Tom Smith 11-9 in the fifth.

For Aces, one each for Shirley Williams, Claudia Hough and Tom Smith.

Despite four and five setters Boys United with Peter Booth, Noah Loncar and Jack Ashworth came away 10-0 winners against Spin Masters Billy Brown, Tommy Worley and Riccardo Bagaini.

The new junior team of Mix and Match are getting closer to a win.

This week they just lost to Pingwins 4-6.

For Pingwins a treble for Jim Allum two for Claudio Bagaini and one for Matt Mackay.

For Mix and Match two for Patrick Neil one for Oliver Neil plus a very loud exiting doubles win for brothers Patrick and Oliver 11-9 in the fifth over Matt Mackay and Jim Allum.
