The squad was made up of a mix of different grade players and the coaching team used the opportunity to make sure each player understood the importance of defensive play, allowing the team to spread the play wide on the pitch and turn defence into attack. The U9s squad showed excellent team spirit and camaraderie throughout and this was sweet revenge for the U9s squad that had lost two finals in a row by one try in previous weeks, as they showed good strength of character to beat a strong, organised Uckfield team, Heath emerging victorious in the final.
