The weather had once again turned and the heavens opened, filling most of the bunkers with water. As all the bunkers had been deemed to be ground under repair it was not possible to have the competition as a qualifier. The main competition of the day, The Purchas Salver Medal, had just 11 competitors, comprising those ladies who had won medals, both silver and bronze divisions, and certain other competitions during the year. The going was tough and the weather was not kind but the winner, Sue Wilson, did not seem to mind the conditions, coming in with a gross 90 and nett 69. In second place, scoring gross 86 and nett 72, was Rebecca Dawson. Third place went to Haley McCartney, with 92 gross and 76 nett.

On the same day, 28 other ladies played in a Stableford competition but seemed to find the conditions much harder.
