Whitehawk launch name change bid
Whitehawk Football Club have lodged an application with the Football Association to change their name to Brighton City.
Hawks, who reached the FA Cup second round this season, have made their desire clear to the FA to have the change in place for next season.
Talks are underway and a further announcement regarding the situation is due in the upcoming weeks.
Whitehawk are currently eighth in National South,four points off a play-off place with a game in hand.
