Walker became Wasps' first-team manager in 2015, leading the club to back-to-back promotions in 2018 and 2019 and the Sussex Women’s Challenge Cup in February 2020. He was also the club’s chairman between June 2017 and June 2020.

The Crawley Wasps board expressed its gratitude to Walker for his hard work on behalf of the club, and for the success achieved during his time as manager.

A club statement said: "We wish him all the best for the future. We will be making no further comment at this time, but will issue a further update when a successor is appointed."
