Sky Sports News are reporting Albion have held talks with Hibernian over Scotland international John McGinn.

Midfielder McGinn, 23, has nine caps for Scotland and is highly rated at Easter Road, where he has scored 16 goals in 130 appearances after joining from St Mirren in 2015.

Celtic have reportedly had two bids turned down this summer for the midfielder, who is out of contract next year.

Sky Sports are now reporting Albion are interested in signing McGinn and have held talks.

McGinn scored for Hibernian last night in their 1-1 draw at Asteras Tripolis in the Europa League. They won the tie 4-3 on aggregate to reach the third qualifying round.

Hibs begin their Scottish Premiership season at home to Motherwell on Sunday.

Brighton have made eight signings so far this summer and have until 5pm on Thursday to make any more additions.
