Three Bridges youth teams round-up: U15s go top of Sussex Sunday League

Manager Brian Geer saw his Sussex Sunday Under-15s Colts team move top of Division Four with a resounding 6-0 win over Sovereign Saints.

William Ilakozima scored 2 with one each to Dylan Rajamohan and Lennard Jovan. Two own goals came from the visitors. Steve Gundowry was the Player of the Match.


A second defeat for the Sussex Sunday Under-16s team by Patcham United Amber 2-1 to leave the team still looking for its first points of the season.

A midweek 2-0 win for the Sussex Sunday Under-15s Youth team over local rivals Horsham Youth keeps the unbeaten run going. One goal each for Lewis Croal and Chandler O’Dwyer. At the weekend, Alfie Berry scored the only goal in the 4-1 defeat by Hove Rivervale.


An emphatic 10-0 for the Sussex Sunday Under 14 team against Adur Athletic in the League K/O Cup. The goals coming from Derrick Kabogoza, Jake Lindsey and Dean Perana with two each and a single goal each to Curtis Griffin, Thomas Hughes. An own goal completed the scoring. Player of the match was Curtis Griffin.


The Surrey Youth team had a narrow 4-3 win over Claygate Royal Swans in the first round of the League Challenge Cup but in another weekend cup match lost to Southwick Rangers in the Sussex Youth Cup. Bradley Campbell-Francis scored his and the teams fourth of the match to clinch victory.

A good first win of the season for the Mid Sussex League team with a score of 4-2 over AS Eastbourne in Division One. Drew Wain got two goals with further goals coming from Alfie Cubberley and Jack Highland. Player of the Match was Oliver Tennant.


Following a walkover in the Sussex Cup, Bridges beat Cranleigh Youth 4-1 in the Horsham League. Goals were scored by Joshua Smithson, Taylor Dixon, Brennan Edwards and Joshua Neathey with Player of the Match being named as Joshua Smithson.

Bridges’ Sussex Sunday League team totally crushed Hurst Hornets with a 15-0 win in the Sussex Youth Cup.
