Smith double earns Town girls place in Sussex final as Crawley sides flourish

Brooke Smith gave Crawley a 2-0 lead which was pulled back through two quick goals by Barnham.

Town regained the lead when Emily Ashcroft broke up a Barnham attack and found Ellie Killick-Bird with a simple pass. She burst forward and fed the ball to Rosie Newman, who calmly stroked the ball home.

Meg Allard added their fourth as they reached the final against Eastbourne Girls.

Crawley hosted the County Cup semi-final against the reigning league champions and County Cup holders Horsham Sparrows.

Horsham hit Crawley with a sucker punch on the counter attack and against the run of play doubled their lead.

Emily Robinson took her tally to 16 for the season with a brace and Emma Parren took her total to 17 as the pair both looked hungry for goals.

Chloe Chesworth scored her first two goals of the season too, after a season which has so far been blighted with injury.
