A hat-trick by Sam MacVicar helped Bridges to a comfortable victory against a South Park side who have been leaking goals recently.
The opening goal came inside three minutes when Allan Tait’s header fell to Tony Garrod, whose shot was blocked before MacVicar fired home.
But five minutes before half-time MacVicar headed home from a superbly flighted free-kick by the excellent Adelakun,
It then became a procession of near misses with both Tait and MacVicar being denied by visiting keeper James Wastell, who was however well beaten when Hakeem Adelakun rattled the crossbar with a delicious free-kick.
But five minutes before half-time MacVicar headed home from a superbly flighted free-kick by the excellent Adelakun, and as the half drifted towards its close, Callum Donaghey hit a post and MacVicar’s follow up shot was somehow blocked and pushed away for a corner.
Chris Smith shot wide after a decent run as the second half got under way, and it seemed as though the strong wind might now favour the visitors.
But when MacVicar was bundled over in the box five minutes into the second period, he took the spot kick himself and lashed it home for his hat-trick.
A volley by John Lansdale and a near miss by Nathan Crabb kept the pressure on South Park, and after 58 minutes Ben Godfrey rose magnificently to meet Mark Pulling’s corner to head Bridges’ fourth.
Bridges continued to press in numbers, while their defence looked immaculate on the rare occasions that South Park pressured.
