Ten gymnasts from K2-based Flitecrew Trampoline Club have been selected to represent the South East at the British Gymnastics Regional Championships in Exeter this weekend.
They stood out from the crowd on their way to winning their way through to the final having been successful in the regional qualifying competition.
They will compete against fellow gymnasts representing ten other regions from across the country, including the North of England, North West, Yorkshire, West Midlands, East Midlands, South, South West, London, Wales and Scotland.
The Flitecrew team comprised of Thomas Styles, Erin MacDonald, Holly Denman, Daisy Marks, Jessica Turnbull, Madison Farley, Caitlin MacGregor, Emily Sixsmith-Wood, Kiera Lane and Madison Bryant are currently putting in hours of dedicated training for the finals with hopes of securing strong results for the South East team.
Coach Sarah Roche has also been selected as one of the South East Coaches at the national event.
Head coach Laurel Kennedy said: “I’m so proud of the team and what they have achieved in qualifying and being selected to represent the South East; it is a major step forward for Flitecrew as a club, and is down to hard work and great coaching.”
