Horsham’s washed out festive period has continued with their home game against Faversham Town today (Saturday, January 4) postponed due to a waterlogged Gorings Mead pitch.

It is the Hornets’ fifth postponement in a row as the heavy rain continues to cause major disruptions to the local football scene.

Their next scheduled match is the rearranged game against Three Bridges on Tuesday night at Gorings Mead.

The majority of the Sussex County League fixtures are again off, although a handful of games could still beat the weather.

Those hoping to go to a local match are advised to contact the home club before setting off.

Local games involving Horsham District teams definitely OFF (at 11am):

Ringmer v Horsham YMCA

AFC Uckfield v Loxwood

Oakwood v Steyning Town

Bexhill Utd v Broadbridge Heath

Storrington v Seaford Town

Billingshurst v Rottingdean Village
