Here are the latest Lions reports.

Corinthian 2 Pagham 3

Dan Simmonds was the hat-trick hero as the Lions travelled overcame a two-goal deficit away to Corinthians, who had a Halloween horror show as Pagham progressed to the FA Vase second round.

An overhead kick from Jack Bath went past Pagham keeper James Binfield on 12 minutes to give the home side an early advantage.

Corinthian’s second goal came on 28 minutes as Michael O’Hagan slotted the ball past Binfield following an impressive solo run.

But on the half-hour the Lions responded courtesy of Simmonds’ well-struck free-kick.

The game took a turn for the worse during the half-time interval when Corinthian shot-stopper Dan Bygraves and Pagham boss Jon Tucker saw red for a confrontation in the tunnel.

This added an aggressive edge to the game, with tackles flying in, but in an end-to-end second half it took until the 80th minute for Simmonds to grab his second of the match and his 30th of the season.

With the game heading into extra-time Simmonds stepped up with a tremendous winner from a curling free-kick sending the travelling Pagham fans home happy.

RUR Cup R3

Pagham sneaked through to a quarter-final tie versus Lancing in the RUR Cup.

Division-one outfit Langney Wanderers had an early setback as Terrell Lewis put the Lions 2-0 up after only 11 minutes.

With the return of Scott Murfin to the line-up, Jon Tucker was able to change to 4-4-2 after the diamond-tipped experiment against Corinthian in the FA Vase.

With the visitors getting one back before half-time, the game was finely balanced.

Pagham’s lead disappeared when a second Langney goal went in. The visitors fully deserved their chance of glory as a lacklustre second-half from the Lions left them needing extra-time to win through.

This they did as Murfin and David Crouch scored to leave Langney rueing their luck and the Lions roaring to a second successive cup win inside four days.
