Alexander spent much of last season out on loan but starts alongside Jamie Proctor in attack, taking the place of Billy Clarke who misses out inclusion in the squad after his partner went into labour this morning.

Meanwhile fit-again Kyle McFadzean also starts, his first competative Reds game since the end of November last year because of that virus, and Joe Walsh gets the nod alongside him at the heart of defence.

Reds will be looking to capitalise on their opponents’ off-field problems, they were deducted ten points yesterday for part of the club going into liquidation, though Richie Barker and his troops will be keen not to underestimate a side who could still feature at the sharp end of the League 1 table.
