Also pencilled in for the southern team are ex-Millwall defender Damien Webber and former Bognor and Pagham man John Price.

The game on Saturday, July 4 (2pm) will raise funds for the family of Dave Clark, a Brighton-based Rangers fan died recently in an industrial accident. His widow and family will be at the match.

With 800 tickets sold already, organisers are hoping for a crowd of around 2,000.

Organiser Stuart Thomson, a lifelong Rangers fan now living at West Wittering, has lined up a host of ex-Rangers players to take part, including Andy Goram (exScotland keeper), (ex-Everton), Graham Roberts, David Healey, Derek Ferguson, Alex Rae, Michael Mols, Mark Falco, Terry Hurlock, Marvin Andrews and Mark Walters.

Bognor general manager Pearce, in charge of the South Coast team, said: “It looks set to be a great occasion. We’re delighted to be hosting it at Bognor and it should be a lovely family day out with plenty of old favourites out on the pitch.”

Tickets can be bought by calling the Rocks on 01243 822325. Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for under-16s. There’s a £2 handling charge per booking (not per ticket) to cover postage and credit card fees.
