Sussex CCC release all-rounder Adkin

Sussex County Cricket Club have announced that young all-rounder Will Adkin has been released by the County.

Adkin, 22, made his first-class debut for Sussex in 2010 after having progressed through the youth and academy ranks, and signed a two-year contract at The PROBIZ County Ground, Hove shortly after.

In all, he played six first-class matches and three List A games for Sussex, as well as two Twenty20 matches during the Club’s participation in the Caribbean T20 tournament in January.

Sussex’s Professional Cricket Manager Mark Robinson said, “Opportunities were limited last year for Will and seemed likely to be again next season. With that in mind we feel that it would be best for him to seek openings elsewhere.

“We would like to wish him lots of luck and thank him for all his hard work and dedication he has shown.”
