Sussex against Surrey T20 game abandoned after sickening collision

Play was abandoned in this afternoon’s T20 Blast match between Sussex and Surrey at Arundel Castle after a sickening collision between two Surrey players.

Moises Henriques and Rory Burns collided horribly when they both went for a catch and medical attention was quickly called for.

Three ambulances ended up on the field as both of the players were treated for head injuries.

When they were lifted onto the ambulance, both players gave acknowledgement to the crowd.

After a lengthy delay of around 40 minutes play was abandoned with Sussex 141-7, with nine balls remaining in their innings.
