Banger team racing at Angmering

IT will be a full day of action-packed racing at Angmering raceway (www.ovalraceclub.co.uk) on Sunday April 26th when the hugely destructive nudge and spin Bangers take to the track to battle it out for the Team Championship title.

The drivers will be waging automotive warfare against each other in their teams of stripped out MOT failures and aiming to wipe out as many opponents as possible before their own car is sent to the great scrap yard in the sky.

Any cars that survive the racing will end their days as twisted heaps of metal in the last-car-left moving demolition derby.

Away from the fender bending Bangers, the non-contact stock car racing stars of the future will also be taking to the track in the junior formulas, competing in Minis (engine sized at 1000cc for 10 to 16 year olds) and up to 1200cc cars for those aged 12 to 16.

The adult modified formulas will also be in action fielding a wide range of cars with engine sizes ranging from 1300 to 1600cc and connecting to the track via front or rear wheel drive.

With a wide range of racing action, from non contact rubber-burning Hot Rods to the all-action Nudge and Spin Bangers in full on team racing automotive carnage, Angmering Raceway will deliver another value for money day's worth of racing when the green flag waves on April 26.

Angmering is located just off the A280, between Worthing and Angmering. The gates open at 8am, with racing commencing at 11.30am. Adult admission is 10 kids, 10-14, 5, with kids under ten free. Senior Citizens, disabled and Students (with valid student cards) can also enjoy a days racing for just 5.
