Awards given to club members

CERTIFICATES and trophies were presented to Adur Centre Sailing Club members at their annual meeting.

Most of the youngsters gained further Royal Yachting Association Dinghy Sailing qualifications.

Martin Tomlinson, the outdoor activities adviser for West Sussex County Council, presented the awards at the Shoreham club.

The Novice Cup for the best beginner of the season went to Jacob Sutton while the Kolmi Shield for the season's top sailor was presented to Oliver Sellar.

Andrew Vagg was awarded the Bosun's Shield for outstanding support to the club. He also gained his qualification as a Royal Yachting Association dinghy instructor and now spends his time teaching new members.
