Southampton-born combination guard Allen joined Thunder in October last year from Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Allen was Thunder’s players’ player of the year last season when the club lost in the quarter-finals of the National League Division 1 play-offs, reached the semi-finals of the National Cup and quarter-finals of the National Trophy.

Allen said: “I’m very happy to be back with Thunder this year. It’s a great club and I’m glad we could work it out so I would be in a position to come back and wear a Thunder jersey again.

“I’m looking forward to working with coach (Daniel Hildreth) again as he puts me in great positions that benefit my game. I’m also looking forward to playing for such a dedicated fan base.”

Hildreth added: “I am delighted to have Louis back on board for another year.

“He was awarded players’ player last season as a credit to his character and impact on the team. I feel he is the best three-point shooter in the league and that is a fantastic advantage for us as he opens up the floor. Teams simply can’t leave him open.
