Many members and visitors attended on a lovely sunny afternoon. It started with a ‘Spider’ where all the players stand around the green with one jack in the middle. On the bell everyone sends a wood to the jack, all at the same time and nearest gets the prize. This was followed by various short matches to enable the teams to mix and play each format and against all the other players creating a fun afternoon for all. At half time we were all treated to a marvellous cream tea prepared by the ladies of our social committee.

Captains Mollie Artlett and Peter Knight were very appreciative of all the hard work put in by members selling raffle tickets and a sweepstake, and for all the organisation beforehand setting up the green and sorting teams, and for all the work in preparing the teas and running the bar.

At the end of the day prizes were awarded to winners and runners up, and in traditional fashion a booby prize was also awarded. On the day we raised a wonderful £512.00 for the Charity and everyone had a good time.
