Letter: ‘No’ to fountains in Crawley square regeneration

So the council has input on what the populace wish for the regeneration of our Queens Square, well I hope they do not give in to the idea of water fountains gushing out of the ground.

I wonder who thought of that one? Do they not remember the fountain that was in the square, then moved

to the top of the martlets when it was again removed owing to all the rubbish that was in there and now resides at the Town Hall gardens.

And how long will it look nice and clean with people dropping cigarette ends and chewing gum all over the place? Save your money crawley council, in any case

you have ruined the square by that blasted pavilion
