Letter: Green thoughts at library

On May 5, the Silk Road Writers will be joining forces with the Cortis Avenue Wildlife Garden project to put on an event at Worthing Library.

The event will be entitled “Green thoughts in a Green Shade”.

It will begin with a brief introduction about the community garden project from its co-ordinater which will be followed by a recital of garden themed poetry from the Silk Road Writers.

Back in February, the writers’ group held a poetry recital at Worthing Library entitled “Love Lines”. The feedback from the public was so positive that the library offered an open invitation to the group to plan another recital.

The collaboration with the garden project at this event represents an exciting new venture for the group.

The event is free of charge and will be held in the lecture theatre of Worthing Library, Richmond Road, from 2.30pm – 3.30pm.

Refreshments will be provided should you wish to stay and have a chat afterwoods and perhaps find out more about either the garden project or the writers group.
