Dogs stressed by gunfire

Re the ‘Not-so-glorious Twelfth’, WSG August 1, I was going to send you the following poem/prayer ‘Mercy Not Sacrifice’ before I read Andrew Tyler’s very informative letter because the gunfire distresses us and our dogs greatly:

Mercy Not Sacrifice

Thank you God for this beatiful day

Though joy is marred by guns not far away.

This day what deed is being done

What chapters end for the hunted and some.

God bring keen eyes for deliverance fast

God rescue them that their plight might not last.

God help the guns to hear the cries

That the hunted will be allowed to live their lives.
