Band seeking a musical director

West Chiltington Silver Band is looking for a new musical director.

We are a friendly, non-contesting village band who enjoy rehearsing on a Wednesday evening and performing at a variety of local events.

Formed in 1908, West Chiltington Silver Band (WCSB) has been making regular appearances at fetes and garden parties, bandstands and flower shows, weddings, church services, concerts and Christmas events in the West Sussex area for over 100 years.

We are a fun, friendly band of mixed ages and musical abilities who enjoy a weekly rehearsal and regular gigs throughout the year, but do not participate in brass band contests.

Our current MD, Annette Clifford, has been leading the band since September 2006 and in that time has helped build the band’s membership, repertoire and reputation as one of the best in the area.

If you’re passionate about music, and enjoy a bit of brass, we’d love to hear how you could bring a new dynamic to our village band.

We’ve a large library of music to get you started and are quite open to the challenge of a new piece or two in the pad!

To find out more about the band feel free to have a browse around the website or take a look at our Facebook page.

If we seem like a decent bunch and you fancy finding out a bit more about the MD role, then please feel free to give me a call on 07713 035712 or contact me via our website,
