Abolish windfarms

YOUR reader, Derek Hunnikin makes a clear case for the abolition of grossly inefficient and exhorbitant windfarms, which has been echoed by the likes of David Hockney and countless others. Meanwhile our Energy Secretary, Chris Huhne refuses to withdraw his head from the sand.

Is it a characteristic of politicians that however wrong they may turn out to be, the words “I made a mistake” are viewed as equivalent to falling on their swords?
