Worthing drink driver banned from roads

A WORTHING man has been banned from the roads after admitting drink and dangerous driving charges.

Martin Coop, 54, was arrested at 5.30pm on June 6 after a police patrol stopped his car in Wavertree Road, Worthing.

Coop, of Whitebeam Road, Worthing, pleaded guilty to drink driving and dangerous driving.

He was banned from driving for 16 months and was ordered to pay a £335 fine, a £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

He was among 74 people who have now been banned after being arrested in June as part of Operation Dragonfly – Sussex Police’s summer crackdown on drink driving.
