Woman taken to Worthing Hospital with ‘serious facial injuries’ after assault

A WOMAN was left with ‘serious head and facial injuries’ following a ‘disturbance’ in West Tarring last night (May 28).

Police were called to a property in Ringmer Road, West Tarring, Worthing, shortly after 8.20pm after reports of a disturbance at the home.

Officers went in and found a 40-year-old woman semi-conscious with serious head and facial injuries.

A 28-year-old man and a 55-year-old man also present were both arrested on suspicion of assault.

The injured woman was taken by ambulance to Worthing Hospital.

Police are now investigating and have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Simon Dunn, of Worthing CID, said: “We’re keen to establish exactly what happened.
