St Peter ad Vincula Church in Wisborough Green will be transformed this December in a ‘Festival of Christmas Trees’.
An array of Christmas trees will be on show, which have been sponsored by local businesses and individuals to help raise money for the church itself and as well as the local charity, The Sussex Snowdrop Trust.
One family in the village knows the charity very well as their child, Milly, was cared for by the Snowdrop care at Home team and benefited from speaking with their counsellor.
A tree will be decorated in her memory called ‘Milly’s Magic Tree.’ There will be an eclectic mix of sponsored trees promoting their brand through creative design.
The Sussex Snowdrop Trust provides specialist care from the Snowdrop Care at Home team, which includes paediatric nurses, a very experienced Counsellor and Nurse Support workers.
Most children live to adulthood but sadly sometimes the treatment fail, and children become terminally ill.
The Trust tree will be full of Snowdrop baubles and memory stars. Visitors are encouraged to make a donation for entry.
The event will be open with a children’s service on December 9 at 10.30am with a further opportunity to visit December 10 to 15, 11am to 6pm where refreshments and cakes will be available.
There will be a closing carol service on December 16 at 5pm. The event promises to get you in the Christmas spirit.
