VIDEO: Flooding chaos on roads as Horsham battered by torrential rain

Flash floods caused traffic chaos in Horsham as its major roads were badly affected today (Friday October 10).

Torrential rain affected the lunch breaks of many Horsham workers and residents with heavy downpours from noon onwards.

Trains between Horsham and Crawley were also affected due to flooding at a level crossing, causing the line to close at Littlehaven.

Southern Rail has said that some alterations to its services may still occur.

Umbrellas should be at the ready with rain set to continue on and off throughout the day.

Meanwhile the Met Office predict a risk of thunder later this afternoon.

The bad weather looks set to continue with ‘another day of sunny spells and heavy showers’ predicted for Saturday October 11.

Sunday is forecast to be mainly dry, with a risk of heavy showers overnight.
