Village road closed after vehicle fire

Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire in Pulborough this afternoon (Monday January 11).

A crew from Billingshurst were called to Mare Hill Road at around 2.30pm.

The flames were extinguished using two breathing apparatus and two hose reels.

A spokesman for the fire service said no-one was in the vehicle at the time of the blaze and no injuries had been reported.

The fire is being treated as an accident and the road was closed whilst firefighters dealt with the blaze.

The road has now been re-opened.
