It was taken by Selsey RNLI crewman and press officer Max Gilligan on Wednesday, December 30, as Storm Frank battered the UK, causing devastation elsewhere.

Parts of the country suffered heavy flooding as rivers burst their banks and bridges collapsed, creating a national emergency.

The video was taken in Selsey one-and-a-half hours before high tide.
