Variety is the spice of life in Findon this weekend

THE upcoming Findon variety show is set to mix entertaining performances with fundraising for charity.

Ron Merriman, Chairman of Findon Valley’s Residents’ Association (FVRA), has announced that the Association’s first ever Variety Show taking place this Saturday, September 14, will donate the total value of ticket sales to St. Barnabas Hospice.

Ron said: “We always like to support many local charities at the social events we organise during the year, and as we have regularly raised money for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice every Christmas, it was agreed that for our new ‘Findon Valley Variety Showstoppers’ we will hand over all the money generated from our ticket sales to St. Barnabas Hospice.”

The variety show starts at 2.30pm at All Saints’ Church Hall, Cissbury Avenue, Findon Valley. Doors open from 2.15pm so people who have not already purchased advance tickets can come along and pay at the door and enjoy a great time where eight acts will be performing. There will be a mix of singing, musical and expressive talents.

Entry price on the door is £2.50 per person with children under 16 years old able to enter for free. Each ticket includes a raffle ticket for someone to win a luxury food hamper, donated by Findon Valley Co-op Funeralcare.

Ron said: “We guarantee fun and enjoyment for everyone with the brilliant local talents we have on stage,”

“The more people we have coming, the more ‘feel good’ factor we get for all to have a wonderful time, the chance to win a fantastic prize and raise money for a well deserved charity that works so hard in supporting their patients and families.”
