UPDATE: Man appears in court charged with attempted murder after boys stabbed near Emsworth
Dressed in a grey jumper and jogging bottoms and flanked by two dock officers Richard Michael Walsh, of no fixed address, spoke only to confirm his identity at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.
He sat in the dock as prosecutor Graham Heath outlined the case against him.

Hide AdThe 43-year-old has been charged with two counts of attempted murder in relation to two boys, 12 and 13, over an incident on June 26 in Southleigh Road, Havant.
He is also charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm relating to a third person on the same day.
Walsh is also charged with robbery of a pedal cycle from a youth on June 8 in Southleigh Road.
None of the victims can be named for legal reasons.
Walsh is due to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on July 20.

Hide AdChairman of the bench Paul Thompson said: “All of these matters are being sent to trial at Portsmouth Crown Court.
“You will attend their initially by videolink on the 20th of July at 10 o’clock.
“Until that time you will be remanded in custody.”
